Qatar to host energy efficiency forum
Qatar’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Forum planned for the 24 and 25th March 2015, in Doha under the patronage of Essa Bin Hilal Al-Kuwari, President of KAHRAMAA, Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation.
It is organised by Fleming Gulf, a consultancy firm and leading provider of business intelligence through industry-specific conferences and webinars with offices in UAE, India, and Malaysia in close collaboration with the Arab Union of Electricity (AUE) from Jordan. This firm hopes to establish a platform that will bring together leaders from across the globe and the GCC, in order to review and discuss all necessary initiatives needed to help propel the industry forward.
Energy efficiency has become an increasingly popular topic in many countries, because of the increasing demand for solutions in curbing consumption and maximising energy generation.
The critical topic of discussion especially in the Middle East, remains and is linked to the implementation of legislation policy.
It however remain that key topics that are expected to be discussed during the forum will include Qatar’s advancements towards energy efficiency and conservation initiatives. The challenges are multi-facetted with enacting energy efficiency through related laws, raising funds, implementing efficient energy policies that effectively promote sustainability.
They will be other topics that include notably the deployment of building performance management systems and use of environmental protection procedures.
